Meet the Founder - Dara Colleary
With more than 25 years of experience in the building and general construction industry, Dara Colleary leads Colleary Construction with a hands-on, detail-driven approach shaped by decades of large-scale commercial work.
Before focusing on residential projects, Dara managed complex commercial and institutional construction — the kind where structural failures make headlines and schedule delays cost millions. His portfolio includes One Dalton, Boston's 61-story luxury residential tower where he helped resolve critical structural design challenges in the belt truss system, The Viridian at 1282 Boylston Street, a 342-unit mixed-use development completed in a record 20-month construction timeline, and the Wat Nawamintararachutis Thai Buddhist Temple in Raynham, a $60 million meditation center requiring precision installation of massive Buddha statues and integration of Eastern and Western construction techniques.
That background brings a level of rigor most residential contractors simply don't have. The structural problem-solving, sequencing precision, and quality control protocols Dara applied to high-rise towers and award-winning institutional projects now shape how he approaches your kitchen renovation or custom home.
Dara's experience spans every phase of development: site evaluation, design coordination, permitting, budgeting, construction management, and final delivery. He works closely with homeowners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and skilled trades to ensure projects are built correctly and efficiently.
Dara holds a degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, is registered as a Civil Engineer EIT in Massachusetts, and maintains a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License. He is also LEED Accredited and OSHA 30 certified.
